The weather was perfect for picking out our pumpkins . . . Sunny, Bright and Warm! This is the third year going to Job's Nursery in Pasco. This pumpkin patch is everything that most pumpkin patches have gone away from, it doesn't cost an arm and leg, you grab a cart and a cutter and head out to the patch . . . it's non-commercialized and exactly what it should be - FUN!!! Nothing beats a country drive out to the patch and getting that perfect pumpkin! Of course Jakob always has to pick the biggest pumpkin out there. It's sad to see that Kaitie doesn't seem to enjoy it as much as she did when she was younger, but she still took the time to select that perfect pumpkin. Here is some pictures from when we were out there . . .

After the pumpkin patch we were off on a little 1 1/2 hour road trip to visit the corn maze in Walla Walla. We stopped for lunch first, it's a pretty neat little town to drive through. Walla Walla is one of the oldest cities in the State of Washington, at one time it was being looked at as the State Capital and also made famous by Looney Tunes. You know . . . Bugs Bunny always talked about Walla Walla, so did Wiley Coyote, he got his ACME shipments (rockets, roller skates and dynamite) from there. That's the history lesson I got from Joe today . . . but I do remember watching "Looney Tunes" when I was a kid! It never fails . . . when we go on a road trip I always hear the tidbits of history from that area according to Joe, he always a wealth of useless information. The kids had a blast and so did Grandma and Grandpa! The corn maze was on this farm that has been owned by the same family for almost a 100 years. We've made it a tradition to trek over there and have a great time finding our way through their maze. We went through the maze twice before heading home. Here's some pictures from the maze . . .

We missed having my sister and her girls with us today . . . Jakob said as soon as we got to the corn maze that it brought back so many memories, and that he missed Madi not being there! He told us that he was mad his cousin's moved away! Moved away is right . . . clear across the United States! Jakob is turning into such a sentimental little guy! Well, it's been a great weekend so far . . . tomorrow we'll relax all day then head to Mom and Dad's for Sunday dinner.

We miss being able to go too!! :( Glad to hear you had fun, though! We hope to make it one of the corn mazes around us. Trying to decide whether to go to the "scary" one or not. ;)
Just wasn't the same without the rest of the family!
